Kings hosts a right royal night

James McKenna, owner of Kings Restaurant, Shotley Bridge joined forces with Margaret Arthurs and Kathleen James to host a culinary feast of fundraising in support of Willow Burn.

This sell out fundraising event was well supported by the community as many have been personally touched by the services offered by Willow Burn not least the two organisers Margaret and Kathleen, with Margaret having had two relatives use the services of Willow Burn. Whilst Kathleen has personally experienced the devastating effects of cancer and has overcome this with courage and determination.

The attendees wined and dined on a fantastic menu created by Kings especially for this event and were entertained by fabulous music by saxophonist, Laura Bell, an ex pupil of St Bede's School, Lanchester who is currently studying medicine.

The event raised in excess of £800.00 for Willow Burn through raffles and a quiz.
