Newcastle Male Chorus led by Doris Williams (Director of Music) put on a wonderful evening of song at St Joseph's Church, Stanley on Friday 14th May.

The Newcastle Male Chorus Choir give regular performance in support of humane charities having sang in prestigious venues such as the Sage in Gateshead, the Royal Albert Hall and both the Glasgow and Newcastle Arenas.

The evening was well attended by many community groups of all age ranges with a special performance from a young, local trombone player, the extremely talented Hayley O'Connelly, who succeeded in a musical relay, performing at two other musical events on the same night!

Father Park of St Joseph's extended a warm welcome to the choir and the Willow Burn supporters expressing what a wonderful evening it had been.

The evening raised in excess of £600.00 towards the running costs of Willow Burn and as Doris and her choirs are keen supporters of Willow Burn they are facilitating another concert in October at St Patrick's RC Church, Dipton in a bid to raise more money.
