The mission of Willow Burn is to maintain the high quality of our service through ongoing reflection, evaluation, education and governance. The outcome is a safer, more efficient, cost-effective palliative care service that better satisfies patients and carers needs.

- Audited accounts are submitted at the AGM and published by the Charities Commission and Companies House
- Patient satisfaction questionnaires are provided on discharge with a freepost envelope for return ensuring anonymity.

- The Hospice is currently undertaking the Investors in People and Comparable Health Knowledge System Hospice accreditation programme
Quality catering service
On 25th October 2010 Durham County Council Environmental Health Department carried out an unannounced inspection of Willow Burns kitchen and catering service. As a result a 5 Star Hygiene Rating was awarded for the high standards of food safety management and very high compliance with food safety legislation.
Val and Chris our catering staff are to be commended for maintaining these high standards while delivering delicious high quality nutritious food.
