What do you get the person who  has everything?  How do you tell guests that there’s nothing you really need without insulting them?  Have you ever received unwanted presents and thought ‘what a waste’?

The all-time solution is to steer givers and guests in the direction of your favourite charity, Willow Burn.  This way of giving is becoming increasingly popular, with 2012 seeing an increase in funds and gifts donated to the hospice.

Willow Burn hosts a range of fun events throughout the year (Easter Treasure Hunt above) and there is usually an activity to suit every age and every entertainment or activity type. Charity Fundraising Events range from walks to fairs, from volunteer events to restaur and from Shopping Trips to Make A Will Month.

The profits raised from all of these fundraising activities goes directly to the day to day running of the Hospice allowing Willow Burn to support those coping with a life limiting illness free of charge.

Community Fundraisers also play a huge part in our success and sustainability with fantastic events such as charity nights, sponsored walks, garden parties and 'Tea@3' (ask us about it!) which offer fun and friendship whilst raising money to support local individuals and their families when they most need it.

Some community activities can easily be done on your own while others may require support from your friends or work coleagues, or indeed guidance from the Willow Burn fundraising team.  If that's the case, get in touch with Sue Fox or Claire Ross on (01207) 523295/6.

Most importantly, we would love you to select an activity that best suits your time, ability and experience.  Whatever way you choose, have fun !! - and don't forget to contact us to tell us your fundraising event plans as we would love to hear from you, even if it's just to pass on a new, exciting way to raise money for your local community.
